A sales tax to fund a BART extension to San Jose may be in jeopardy after the Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors gave it a lukewarm endorsement.
The "BART Tax" -- a sales tax measure to fund a BART extension to San Jose -- may be in jeopardy after the Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors gave it a lukewarm endorsement.Of the four supervisors who must back this measure for itto be put on the November ballot, only one is behind it.Public opinion seems to be divided equally between supportersand opponents.
