Mountain View, California, approveszoning changes to make way for a hotel complex that could add to rush-hour traffic problems.
The Mountain View City Council approvedzoning changes to make way for a hotel complex nearthe Shoreline Auditorium. A study found that this could add to rush-hour traffic problems on surfacestreets and Highway 101 in the area. An environmentalimpact assessment found that adverse impact on housingand traffic could not be avoided no matter what measures the developer might take.
