Controversy Over Privatizing National Park Work

The National Park Service -- once dismissed by the former director of the White House's Office of Management and Budget as the "world's largest lawn-care service" -- is the prime target of an unprecedented push to privatize federal jobs.
The Senate may resurrect [an] unprecedented push [by the Bush administration] to privatize federal jobs deemed "commercial" in nature...what was once a relatively obscure domestic policy issue for the Bush Administration, has now become a heated debate.
