Pittsburgh Maglev Doomed

A proposed $3 billion, 45-mile Maglev connecting Greensburg, Monroeville, Downtown and Pittsburgh International Airport is doomed.
"Allegheny County Chief Executive Jim Roddey advised members of a business group to "forget about maglev," dismissing the $3 billion high-speed train project as too costly. A business-government partnership is competing against a proposed Baltimore-to-Washington maglev link for $950 million in federal funding."
