$400m Mixed-Use Project On Arizona Indian Land
5 September 2003 - 2:00pm
Alter Group's 2 million sq. ft. development, nation's largest ever on Native American Land, is expected to create up to 15,000 new jobs.
"'This is one of America's tightest markets,' says Michael Alter, president of the firm. According to Alter, nearby Scottsdale absorbs 600,000 sq. ft. every year, making it difficult for users to find large blocks of space. 'Because this is one of the last large land sites in Scottsdale, we will be able to offer space users very competitive rates.'"

No matter how one wanted to organize the ideal city, housing security would be part of it. No community can function effectively if large numbers of its residents are regularly displaced or perpetually at risk of being displaced.
