After nearly 15 years of construction, Los Angeles' $4.7 billion subway project is ready to open. But will Angelenos get out of their cars?
Los Angeles' subway project, considered to bethe most expensive subway built in the nation,will open this weekend after nearly 15 years of construction. While some residents in surroundingcommunities are eager to start using the subwaybut some transportation experts say the subway will not have a significant impact on L.A.'straffic problems. The subway links the San FernandoValley with Hollywood.
