Sacramento's Galt - Doubling in Size?

Nine-year effort by Pacific Gas and Electric would double the size of Sacramento commuter town by opening up farmland east of the city limits.
The controversial plan will be heard by local politicians and planners. Pacific Gas and Electric is lobbying hard, but opponents say plan to open up 2,218 acres of farmland for commerical and residential development is not in line with general plan or economically viable.
