How To Save A Sinking City

Venice is sinking into the sea. The historic city is fighting back with a massive and ingenious engineering project.
"Venetians have always been environmentalists -- in medieval times, polluting the canals was punishable by death -- and they've also always been, out of necessity, hydrological engineers. The city needs to be saved,everyone here agrees. But that's where the consensus stops. They disagree on how fast the water is rising. They disagree on why the city is sinking. Most of all, they disagree on what to do about it."
