Costliest Subway in U.S. History?

The L.A. subway's Metro Rail Red Line will soon open toconnect downtown with the San Fernando Valley.
The L.A. subway may well be the most expensive subway in U.S. history. On Saturday it will start a newconnection between the downtown area and the SanFernando Valley. In 1998, voters banned further use of local tax money for the subway. Plagued bycorruptions and mismanagement, the subway coversonly 60 miles and will serve only a tiny fractionof Southern California's freeway traffic.
