How To Save The City Center

McGill University professor of architecture Avi Friedman talks about maintaining vital and healthy cities, in the context of Canada's largest city, Toronto.

"To succeed in revitalizing their downtown cores, cities need to create an environment that never sleeps. As our demographic make-up fluctuates, the number of non-traditional families is expected to rise. These people are not looking for a backyard swimming pool and barbecue; they want to be near museums, theatres and cafés."
