Developer Uses New Urbanism To Remake Downtown

The Denver Post profiles a developer who is successfully renovating historic properties in downtown Castle Rock.
"[Brad] Brown transformed three downtown blocks of Perry Street from a seldom-used backwater to a lively pedestrian place of boutiques, galleries, a coffee shop, bakery, spa, design studio, a vintage clothing operation and antique stores... 'What benefits the community in the long run will ultimately benefit me more than a fast buck,' he added. 'It takes more time, but I think this is how 'new urbanism' ought to be done.'"
