L.A. County Cities Appeal Water Plan

Cities fear county-wide plan will increase development costs.
Thirty-three Los Angeles County cities filed an appeal against the Standard Urban Storm Water Mitigation Plan. This plan requires new developments to implement catch basins, drains, and other measures to trap polluted runoff and prevent it from entering rivers and the ocean. Cities fear that the plan will increase development costs and eliminate affordable housing.
