EIR Approved For New County-USC Medical Center

Despite a request for delay by new Assembly Speaker, Board of Supervisors takes step toward rebuilding.
The County Board of Supervisors approved the environmental impact report for a new County-USC Medical Center. This is a significant first step toward rebuilding the earthquake-damaged hosptial in Boyle Heights. Still at issue is whether the the county will receive additional health funding from the state or federal government.
