Cities Unveil Long-Term Development Plans

20-year plans finalized by cities of the Phoenix Valley Area emphasize vibrant downtowns and the economy.
"Phoenix wants to revitalize its central core and the area along north Central Avenue with offices and homes. But the city is faced with cleaning up and revitalizing blocks of blighted and vacant lots to lure investors. Planners see light rail, slated to run along Central, as one advantage."
