Newhall Land Faces Water Shortage Problem

Massive 22,000-home development near Santa Clara River has only half of required water supply, judge rules.
A Kern County Judge temporarily blocked the housing development by ruling last week that Newhall Land and Farming's environmental impact report does not demonstratate that there is sufficient water for the massive project. Newhall says water supply is only a minor problem, and cites other water resources.
