Saving Atlanta's Most Endangered Building

Preservation groups will purchase part of historic property.
"The 1883 Peters House, also known as 'the mansion,' is being purchased by the Trust for Public Land with help from the Georgia Trust.The owner, Bill Swearingen, worked out an agreement this week to sell two-thirds of the 3.4-acre Midtown block on which the mansion stands to the preservation groups to protect both the building as well as most of the historic grounds graced with mature trees."
