The Michigan state Senate considers claim to "groom" beaches.
Dr. Leslie Mertz, an expert onamphibiandecline, reports on the politics and science (or lack of it) of a billthat the Senate is considering. Already passed by the House, it wouldallow Great Lakes shoreline property owners to destroy the coastalwetlands exposed by unusually low lake levels.
