Built-out Inner Suburbs Watch Eminent Domain Test Case

The city of Lakewood, Ohio has plans to redevelop a turn of the century residential neighborhood into the "Shops of the West End."
Residents of mature, inner ring suburbs are closely monitoring the city of Lakewood's plans to redevelop a large neighborhood into condos and shopping facilities. 18 property owners are working with the Washington-based Institute for Justice to stop the taking of their properties.
