Industry Meets Academic Research At The Park

The university-owned 'research park' proves to be a profitable land use model in Arizona, fostering much-needed technological collaboration.
"Pharmaceutical giant Novartis remodeled a factory across the street from Massachusetts Institute of Technology's research park just to be close to the kind of people who could develop new products', said Bill Drohan, executive director of the Reston, Va.-based Association of University Research Parks.'That's the ripple effect. It's what everybody dies for.'"
