In a city renowned for its music and art, Jessica Yoon explores the initiatives taking place to keep artists and musicians in the neighborhoods they helped revitalize. New Orleans has utilized numerous underused and blighted properties to help artists and musicians find affordable housing. The newest development project underway is in coordination with Minneapolis-based Artspace, which plans to convert an historic abandoned school into affordable live-work space in Treme.
