Marstel-Day, LLC, an Environmental Consulting and Planning firm, is seeking highly motivated GIS Interns to support of the company's environmental and natural resource, and sustainability efforts.
A strong GIS candidate must have high confidence in his/her abilities to create and correct polygon topologies, attribute updates and custom maps. Ideal GIS candidates would also possess considerable knowledge of the following: Geo-database usage and creation; locating, classifying, organizing, and analyzing data; creation of spatial data and attributes; and satellite ortho-imagery and labeling techniques.
Compensation for full time (40 hours per week) is a fixed stipend of $2,600 per month ($15.00/hr.). Weekly hours are flexible to accommodate class schedules. Internships less than 40 hrs/wk depend on the selected candidate’s skills and availability, and the workload. The amount of the stipend will be adjusted in proportion to the hours worked.
