The Town of Portola Valley, a small rural community (pop. 4500) located 5 miles west of Stanford University in the foothills of San Mateo County, seeks a highly organized team member to serve as Planning Director.

Duties will include direct and indirect supervision over two full-time employees and professional/technical personnel; hands-on review of development and building permit applications; providing staff support to planning and design commissions; code compliance and enforcement; research and preparation of technical and administrative reports; budget preparation and management.
