Responsibilities

Planning Development & Assessment (PDA) is seeking a dynamic senior level communications professional responsible for providing strategic advice and counsel for the department.

Primary duties include:

  • Lead communications and marketing professionals in the department from a managerial and leadership capacity.
  • Develop and manage stakeholder relations, communications and marketing for the department.
  • Participate in business planning strategy development and facilitate corresponding communications/marketing plans.
  • Provide communications counsel, strategies and tactics to maintain confidence in The Corporation in the face of potential or real issues.
  • Provide strategic counsel and advice to internal clients and communications staff on media response, and proactively promote departmental information and initiatives to news media and other external stakeholders.

Participate in a key position on the corporate crisis communications team.

Qualifications

The successful applicant must possess a degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Commerce, Business or a related field and a minimum eight years of progressive experience in communications and strategic planning, with demonstrated strengths in team management and change leadership.
