Springettsbury Township, a progessive community with a population of approximately 26,668, situated in south central PA, is seeking a Director of Community Development. This position creates an extraordinary opportunity for an experienced planning professional to coordinate zoning, code enforcement and community development activities. Serves as the Townships zoning and code official. Manages staff assignments, training, daily workloads and development of short and long range planning projects for five full time and one part time employee. Prepares and presents the departmental capital and annual operating budgets and manages the department's operations. Provides planning and development advice to supervisors and other officials; makes presentations to supervisors, boards, commissions, civic groups and the general public. Must have at least five years progressive career experience in the areas of planning, zoning, code enforcement and community/economic redevelopment. Possess or ability to obtain BCO and Property Maintenance Code Certifications within one and two years of employment respectively.
