Guide to Claiming AICP CM Credits for Planetizen Courses

A number of Planetizen's online courses and webinars have been approved to provide credits for the American Institute of Certified Planners' Certification Maintenance Program.

Claiming Credits

After completing a Planetizen course or webinar approved to provide CM credits, you'll need to follow these steps to claim and report your credits.

Step 1

Login to the APA website and go to http://www.planning.org/cm/log

Step 2

In "My CM Member Log" click the "Add Credits" button.

Step 3

Find all of Planetizen’s approved courses either by typing "Planetizen" into the box or by browsing "Activities by Provider".

Step 4

Click "Planetizen".

Step 5

Click the "Distance Learning" tab to see a full list of approved Planetizen courses and webinars. Select the appropriate course.

Step 6

Within the course description, click the "Add to My Log" tab. Select a rating for the course or webinar, enter optional comments, check the appropriate boxes and click the "Submit" button.

Available Courses and Webinars

Planetizen offers a variety of courses covering planning-related topics and taught by experts in the field. These self-paced courses are designed for professionals, students, or concerned citizens looking for quick yet thorough introductions to concepts relevant to their work. Selected courses are eligible for credits from the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP*) Certification Maintenance program. All courses listed below are open for enrollment.
