Mary Reynolds, AICP, is Community Communications Coordinator for Sahuarita, Arizona. She previously worked as a Commercial Assistance Planner in the Department of Community Revitalization, Henrico County, Virginia. In addition, she taught graduate and undergraduate planning courses at Virginia Commonwealth University. She also coordinated Virginia's Regional Competitiveness Program and Virginia's micro-enterprise program. After receiving her Master of Urban and Regional Planning from VCU, she was a Research Associate with the International Economic Development Council in Washington, D.C. Before discovering planning, her favorite job was working on board the Hudson River sloop Clearwater. She also holds an M.A. in American Civilization from the University of Pennsylvania, and a B.A. from Pomona College in Claremont, California. She is a cycling advocate who firmly believes that outdoor adventures are possible every day.
