Mike Lydon graduated from Bates College in 2004 with a B.A. in American Cultural Studies. After college Mike served as an intern for the Vermont Forum on Sprawl studying the effect of big box retail in small Vermont communities. In the fall of 2004 he moved to Boston and served as the Fundraising Director for the Massachusetts Bicycle Coalition, volunteered with Northeastern University’s Center for Urban and Regional Policy (CURP) and was a founding member of the New England Chapter of the Congress for the New Urbanism, an organization that awarded him the 2005 Volunteer of the Year Award.

Mike completed his Masters in Urban Planning from the University of Michigan, concentrating in Physical Planning and Urban Design in 2007 and is the founding Principal of the Street Plans Collaborative.
