Arnab Chakraborty, Planetizen CorrespondentI am interested in collaborative research that looks at economic, social and environmental aspects of urban growth. My current research focuses on building land use and transportation models that allow comparing future growth scenarios based on present policies and actions and I am working with a team involving state level cabinet members to understand various unintended impacts of land use policies they help create. I have teaching experience in North America, Europe and Asia and my former students are spread further. I am always looking for colleagues with whom I can write joint proposals for funding, do interdisciplinary work and who can question my research. If you are an aspiring graduate student who is interested in cutting-edge urban planning research, I welcome requests for working together. Specialties: Land use policy research, econometric modeling, growth visioning, facilitating large scale community and stakeholder events, urban planning education
