Jon Cecil, Planetizen Correspondent Jon Cecil, AICP, is the Planning Manager for Capital City Development Corporation (CCDC), the urban renewal agency for the City of Boise, Idaho. Jon is responsible for policy development and managing complex planning and design projects including preparing and implementing urban renewal plans. Jon received a Master of Public Administration from Boise State University (“Go Broncos”) with an emphasis in environment and natural resources policy and administration. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners. Jon writes on planning-related matters and has been published by the Western Planner Journal, a journal of information and ideas for planners, their boards and commissions, and planners throughout the western states. He serves on the Western Planning Resources (WPR) editorial board as well as the board of directors representing the newly formed Idaho Chapter of the American Planning Association. Jon was most recently elected to serve on the Idaho APA chapter board representing the planners from southwest Idaho.
